Buy and sell together.
Designer/AD, Meta ‘18Marketplace, Facebook’s e-commerce platform, is a convenient way to discover, buy and sell items with people in your community. Although 29% of the U.S. population was using Marketplace, only 14% were aware it was a Facebook product.
To raise awareness we launched a global integrated campaign in 8 U.S. markets and two Brazil markets that included TV, OOH, radio, on-platform digital, off-platform digital and PR activations. Here are a some highlights.
We partnered with MullenLowe (LA and San Paulo offices) to develop the C2C focused “Buy and sell together” 360-campaign. The creative brought this to life via combination of human exchange moments, product UI that demonstrates how Marketplace gives face to buyers and sellers, and a playful VO that both educates and inspires.
This campaign stemmed from the collaborative efforts of myself and Creative Director Andrew Mileskiewicz, as we successfully expanded our organic social presence on Facebook Marketplace from under 100 to an impressive 23M. The success of this channel underscored its significance as a key Facebook product.
